Heading in the direction of net zero

The decarbonisation of industry and commerce requires new solutions. We scrutinise and optimise existing processes. We consider new technologies, processes and energy sources. In some cases, far-reaching decarbonisation may require fundamental changes in companies, which requires long-term, forward-looking planning.

The aim of our decarbonisation consulting services is to show companies a perspective and ways in which they can decarbonise their operations in a concrete, step-by-step and cost-efficient manner. We take a bottom-up approach. We start with individual technical measures, develop consistent partial solutions and from there the overall solutions. We create and compare several solution variants

Our consulting services are based on the "Roadmap to Decarbonisation" of the Energy Agency for Industry (enaw.ch/roadmap), which takes a holistic approach to consider all decarbonisation options.

A project typically comprises the following main steps:

  • Clarification of the company's situation and goals
  • Advice on possible energy solutions
  • Energy and technical inventory of the site
  • Definition of the scope and focal points
  • Identification and testing of technically feasible and economically viable measures and solution variants for decarbonisation
  • Quantification, assessment and comparison of solution variants
  • Identification of further planning and implementation steps (incl. funding opportunities)

Our consulting services are aimed at all companies. We are particularly focussed on manufacturing sectors with high energy requirements. We often encounter complex and highly specialised processes and systems there.

Our customers receive a customised plan of specific decarbonisation measures that are coordinated with each other and can lead to decarbonisation to "net zero" greenhouse gas emissions. This decarbonisation planning can also serve as the basis for a subsequent review by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) serve.

A decarbonisation roadmap covers GHG scopes 1 and 2 as standard and fulfils the requirements for a "decarbonisation plan" in accordance with the CO2-Act or a "roadmap" for decarbonisation in accordance with the Climate and Innovation Act. Scope 3 can be included if required.
